Biography:

My name is Leena, I'm a positive behaviour support practitioner based on the Gold Coast, Queensland (Yugambeh/Kombumerri Country).
I currently support participants across the Gold Coast (border to northern Gold Coast suburbs) and also travel up to the Bundaberg region.
I previously worked as a PBS practitioner in Adelaide, where I supported participants across Barngarla Country (Port Augusta/Whyalla regions).

I come to PBS with a background of psychology, and enjoy supporting participants of all ages, from children to adults. I am particularly passionate about:
– Working within the intersection of disability, behaviour and mental health, including psychosocial and neurodivergence spaces
– Individualised, person-centered care, and empowering participants to reach their goals, in the ways that are important to them
– Ensuring each participant feels safe, heard and understood
– Advocating for participant rights within complex cases, including restrictive practice spaces
– Continuously learning, growing and improving my practice!
